There are many different types of depression and the definition of depression will vary. Depressive disorders come in many different "shapes and sizes" and one size does not fit all. Truthfully, it varies by characteristics, severity and duration of symptoms.
Clinical depression is a broadly used term. However it is really a spcific type that requires clinical diagnosis.
